Carla Wins Gold for the SEKF

The SEKF Squad recently traveled to Weston-Super-Mare for the WKU invitational karate championships as part of their preparation for the Four Nations championships at the end of the month. The SEKF squad managed to win one gold medal, two silver medals and three bronze medals.

Carla Rudkin was representing the SEKF for the first time at National level and was first up competing in kata. After performing three great kata's she earned herself a place as an Elite Squad Member by winning a well deserved gold medal. This spurred the squad on, Alessio Sebis next up to represent the SEKF won a well deserved silver medal in his kata category.

The Kumite followed. James Arnold fought well and managed a well deserved bronze medal, along with the under 13's boys team and under 16's girls team who also managed bronze medals. The boys under 16's team fought extreamly well and after a hard final settled for a very well deserved silver medal. Well done everyone!
