Amazing Performances at the USA Open

Congratulations to Carla and Louis for their amazing performances over the past few days at the USA Open. No medals this time. However, Carla managed three great Kata's and lost to the silver medalist, whilst Louis had six great rounds beating some top international athletes along the way.

 

 

 

 

Both Carla and Louis have learned so much about international competition on this trip, and already I can see their standard has improved to new heights.
Well done you two and a big thank you from Danny and I for your commitment to your training and the SEKF.
We have had a great trip to Las Vegas, Carla managed to meet and train with The Spanish national kata coach, Jesus del Moral and World number one, Sandra Sanchez, and meet Damian Quintero. Louis enjoyed meeting World number one under 75k, Tom Scott.
In our spare time we managed to see most of the amazing sights and enjoyed some fine dinning in excellent company.
I would like to thank my lovely wife Angela and Alan Naraine for supporting us on this trip as there help was instrumental. I would like to thank all the SEKF students and parents for supping Carla and Louis in their preparation of this great event. Finally, I would like to thank my son Danny for his constant efforts in improving the kumite within our federation which I am positive has helped Louis raise his game. And a special thank you to Fran Salazar for his time spent with Carla over the past year.
