Congratulations to our Elite squad who recently competed in Cyprus at the Youth K1.
It was the first time that the SEKF had attended this world ranking competition with 1500 competitors from over 60 countries. However, that did not deter them from performing to their best.
At just 12 years old, Carla Rudkin-Guillen, surppassed all expectations in -14 years Kata category by ending up placed 7th after some great performances. Carla was the highest ranked Engish kata athlete out of all age groups...Well done!
James Arnold, kept up the high standard of the SEKF in the Cadet kumite -70K, by achieving a very well deserved 9th place after four tough rounds of competing, finally losing out to the World ranked number 1..... A great performance!
Finally, Elliott Lowman, competing in the -14 years kumite, had a tough first fight and did not progress any further.
As a coach, I was very proud of our athletes as they had worked so hard in preperation for this event...Team SEKF!
