As part of the build up for the British International Open, Our six elite squad members travelled to Dudley to compete in the UK Open. Unfortunately, Elliott Lowman was poorly on the day and could not compete. However, the other five were on form and ready for action, winning an amazing Five Gold, Two Silver and Three Bronze medals.
Carla Rudkin-Guillen, made SEKF history again with some incredible performances over fourteen rounds, winning six medals, four individual and two team. In addition to her two Team Kata Gold medals, she won two Gold medals in the, -12yrs Kata and the, -14 yrs Kata, and two Silver medals in -16 yrs Kata and -12 yrs Kumite....Fantastic!
James Arnold, was on top form and won Gold in the Cadet Kumite -70K, Bronze in the Cadet Kata and Gold in the Team Kata. Adam Barnes, did very well winning Bronze medals at both Kata and Kumite in the -12 yrs. Harrison West, also performed very well winning a bronze medal in the Kumite -14 yrs and Gold in the Team Kata, whilst Ethan Stonton, performed well in both Kata teams, winning two gold medals.....Well done everyone!
